Dealt with bum cards

Like the Coen brothers apparently pitched it to the lead star Billy Bob Thornton, the story 'It's about a barber who wants to be in the dry-cleaning business'. Nothing more complicating than that. There's also a little murder to story. And more death and accidents. Simple stuff. Fun entertaining low-key crime noir.
