Compensating inferiority feelings
A professor Jonathan Hemlock has retired from killing people for the government. But apparently he's so good at his former profession that they want him to kill again. The one last assignment sends the professor to Eiger Mountain to kill, or 'sanction', a hostile agent. Lots of jovial shit for an espionage thriller, but thankfully it's all good. I had left happy only after seeing the scene where Clint Eastwood and George Kennedy share a moment on top of a mountain.
