2010

Nuthin’ else to do really, so I could just type up the favourites of mine of the year 2010. Don’t know about anything else but the music - read some books, didn’t finish some books, don’t know, might as well say that Stephen King’s “Under The Dome” was the most peculiar one of the lot, yes, that was truly a great read. The Ozzy Osbourne biography was entertaining enough to be mentioned, so there. It started out great, kinda lost its momentum somewhere along the line. I could say the same thing about the Turbonegro book, tho it was worse in writing, in style and, hell, in action. The latest Jeffery Deaver novel “The Burning Wire” was rather disappoing, I however read everything that guy writes. I’m now reading a Nick Cave novel, what’s it called, the Bunny book, I’m also leafing thru Mark Carwardine’s and Stephen Fry’s “Last Change To See”, their TV show with the same monicker was awesome and then some. I forgot, I also am reading Karl Marlantes’ “Matterhorn”, novel based on the Vietnam war, I’m somewhere in the 100 page mark and it’s alright, possibly too many characters to remember to my liking, but thumbs up anyway. Besides music, and books yes, what else is there to make mark of when years go by. I don’t talk about social relations, because it’s a bit of a bore to talk about any of that stuff and it’s not your fucking business anyway. Cats? Could talk about them because they are super funny little fuckers and the best there is, but nah. Movies then - ah, I don’t know, most of the new movies I saw this year were rubbish. As a matter of fact, I only saw 6 movies that were officially made in 2010 and two stand out, namely; The Ghost Writer (Polanski) and Shutter Island (Scorsese). Haven’t seen much, actually I have, but not enough of that brand new stuff, in cinemas stuff. I have watched over 200 movies this year, I have this computer program where I type up all the movies I see, so I just checked how many movies I've seen thus far this year, did a quick calculation in my head and got there somewhere in the 200 mark. The last movie I added was Pandorium, watched in today, it was alright, something like three stars worth, maybe two and a half, it wasn't that good to be honest. But music, it was, has been, a good year musically. Everyone else say otherwise, but you can let them suffer in their shitty little lives, they are stupid and they are wrong. You haven’t heard songs like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s “Beat The Devils Tattoo” or Black Magic Six’s “Doomsday Bound” or Neil Young’s “Hitchhiker” ever before, that’s a fucken fact. I really am meticulous when it comes to listening music these days, I take my time, I’m still on the process of listening to lots and lots of new stuff. For instance, Wino’s “Adrift” and Impaled Nazarene’s “Road To The Octagon” and Motörhead “The Wörld Is Yours”, even Immolation’s “Majesty And Decay”, I probably haven’t heard all them songs yet, but I can tell they are all bloody marvelous records man. If they are the best, the top 10 material, I don’t know, don’t care. It’s possible, pretty likely, the best one is Grinderman’s “Grinderman 2”, but anyway I’ll now make a list, the best of 2010 (music), down below, in disorder:
