As long as the story had a happy ending

Two homosexuals adopt an obese and mentally handicapped kid in late 70s Los Angeles. Not exactly my cup of tea, but Alan Cumming and Garret Dillahunt do well in the lead and things do get little exciting when the discrimination and prejudice bits take place. And the ending took my breath away for a moment or two.
