Another thing coming

I guess Britain's Brokeback Mountain doesn't cut it and perhaps ain't fair, but don't give a damn. This is more in your face and it has the British characteristics; the bleakness, the dryness and the hopelessness. It's muddy and rainy, engulfed in greyness. Essentially, by the looks of it, opposite to everything in its Hollywood counterpart. Even if they are both critically acclaimed, I think they are absolutely nothing special.
