The Höss family has it covered. A beautiful home with even more a beautiful garden. A swimming pool at the yard for children. Rudolf, the father, has a job right next door and while he's at work the wife keeps the house nice and clean. They enjoy life while the every second of the day, just a wall away, the concentration camp Auschwitz murders jews by the millions. The stench of death of victims exterminated by gassing and burning, the gunshots and the noise of trains bringing more people to slaughter are just a little nuisance to the Höss folks.
The Zone of Interest is bizarre and inconvenient cinema at its finest.
