for the love of god
(first off, the letter)
Yes, I do not approve of metal music
Comments--------------------
Dear Ms Agnus,
First I would like to commend you for your faith, and conviction. In today's God-less society, it is wonderful to see someone, such as you, stand up against the immoral decay that has plagued our great, christiannation.
I, too, am sick of the filth, violence, and sex which have somehow become part of everyday life.
Keep up the wonderful work, you are truely one of God's most blessed messengers.
I was wondering if you could help me.
My 16 year old son is a wonderful christian, but today's music is makingit hard for him to even listen to it. He recently told me about a band that one of his school friends told him about and I was nearly physically ill.
His friend showed him the website and he was so disgusted that he told me about it as soon as he came home.
He also told me he would no longer associate with this "friend" as it was evident that they did not believe in God, since he liked this sort of filth.
I told you he was a great kid.
The band is known as EZT which I believe stands for Eviscerated Zombie Tampon.
This vile disgusting band has the most blasphemous site and stage show ever.
The lead singer dresses up as our saviour, Jesus Christ and openingly mocks him. This singer has also similated the rape of a altarboy on stage, while dressed this way.
There is another band member who dressed up as the Pope and a third (female)who acted as if she was Terri Shaivo!.
They even have a CD out called F word Easter. I can't bring myself to repeat such filth.
Please tell everyone to ban this disgusting, sick group of sinners.
The website is:http://www.geocities.com/ezt_rules
Our children must be warned and protected.
Your friend in Christ,Cindy Mae Madison--------------------
Your Email Address: catharsiss322@yahoo.comYour Name: A concerned Christian Mother
(the answer to the letter)
Thanks you for the kind words Madam. See, what this concerned mother has done is bring to light the demonic poison known as "heavy metal" also known as "dark music" which was first created by Marilyn Manson for those of you unfamiliar with the blasphomous music. I looked into the page that mother directed me to and I couldn't help but feel my eyes water. I started crying. "Why could such disgusting filth even bother to exist?", I kept asking myself. It is so sad knowing bands like that are making millions of dollars everyday and being exposed on millions of television and radios worldwide. Why can't we have pro-Christian music get that much exposure? Instead we see this new Zombie Tampon metal band become big and damage our degenrate youth with harmful messages. When is the governemnt going to actually step in and monitor the damging music in our society? All these Marliyn Manson type bands make me sick. They make millions of dollars by spreading hate. The only people that deserve that much money are the churches so that we could get bigger churches to house more Chirstians. Has anyone else noticed how small churches are compared to shopping malls? Shopping malls that get rich from selling dark music are gigantic compared to the small churches. Where is the rationality behind that?
This whole world is nothing but degenerates now, not wanting to admit God is right about everything. How anyone could disagree with me on this is simply foolish. I simply want to do nothing more than folllow God and wish everybody else could do the same by trashing all that is Marilyn Manson inspired. As a service to you all in hopes of brining you closer to God, I have taken my degenerate nephew's CD collection away from him and I have made a huge list documenting each band he owned a Cd of, as a means to serve as a warning to other concerned mothers. I shuffled through the album art and knew right away none of these CD's promoted Christian values. I plan to dispose of these CD's soon. My sister is not fit to be a parent. If he were my child, none of these CD's would be his to begin with.
God Forbid (the name alone indicates a hatred for christianity)
Immolation (the name is disturbing)
Lord Gore (there is a picture of women pleasuring each other, this is beyond filth)
Venom (the devil's face is glorified on the cover)
Repulsion (the devil's face is also beign glorified on the cover)
Agalloch (I don't know what the name Agalloch so I would be surprised if it was a satanic verse)
Immortal (this seems to be another band that has Marilyn Manson, the name of the album is "Sons of Northren Darkness", is is sickening)
Mr. Bungle (the name is pornographic)
Frightmare (the Cd depicts a woman murdered by a satanist)
Between the Buried and Me (I do not like how the name disrespcts the dead)
Ghoul (the cover depicts three demons covered in blood, I threw this in my garbage instantly)
Children of Bodom (I assume Bodom is another name for Satan. Why not "Children of God?")
Nile (there was a picture of a snake, it is glorifying the serpent/devil that made Adam and Eve eat the apple that doomed the world)
As I lay Dying (the album cover depicts a vile demon and the name reflects our death obsessed society)
Slayer (I could not believe the blatant blasphemy the album cover had)
Impaled (the cover depicts a toilet with pooh, why is it that today's youth is worshipping feces instead of God?)
Mayhem (the logo of the band appears to have inverted crosses)
Carcass (see how the world is obsessed with death, no wonder Terri Schiavo was assassinated)
Death (all these Marilyn Manson influenced metal bands keep enjoing death and destruction)
Devourment (there is a dead nude man on the cover, it is homosexual necrophilic pornography at its worth)Dying Fetus (it is sad how our children today approve of abortion)
Aborted (another pro-death/abortion band)Morbid Angel (I was outraged by the name, this is pure blasphemy)
Iced Earth (Satan is being pornographic on the cover, it's sickening)
Rigor Mortis (more praise for dead bodies in our death-obsessed culture)
Blood Freak (all our children want to do these days is kill and make people bleed)
Necro (it depicts satan wearing a skull mask)Bloodbath (yet again, more blood and murder)
Exhumed (I'm getting sick and tired of death being praised)
Godflesh (the name is disgusting, God's flesh is sacred and should not be spoken about)
There are more but I think I've seen enough of my nephews filth collection. All those bands I mentioned should be banned. Want peace on earth? Then ban all those money-making satanic bands. It's that simple. But because this pornographic liberal world still insists on wanting America to be destroyed, these killing culture bands will yet again be on our TV's and radios promoting their hatred towards God's creations. Would you let someone step on a thumbtack if they were about to step on it? I know I wouldn't because it's a mistake. And that is why I feel we shuld guide people to our right side. some people accuse me of being close-minded, but I am merely correcting people that are obviously wrong. If you see soemthign wrong, correct it. These bands are not pro-God, so that is why banning is the only solution. How many more school shootings and innocent women starved to death do we have to see for our world to realize Marliyn Manson and all these other Marilyn Manson wannabes are causing such a ruckus in our world?
That was it (didn't bother to correct the numerous spelling mistakes), and I hope to fucking god the article is fake, either way all the good band names were forgotten to mention; Rotting Christ, Blasphemy, Impaled Nazarene, Christblood, Jesus Anal Penetration and, quite obviously, Satan.

fried-egg sandwich a go-go
Makes 1 sandwich
2 slices white bread (any kind you like)
2 slices low-fat Swiss or American cheese
1 whole extra-large egg or 2 extra-large egg whites
3 slices Canadian bacon
2 tablespoons chunky peanut butter (optional)
1 tablespoon blackberry jelly (or what's on hand)
1 scallion, finely chopped
1. Toast the bread and while still warm, top each slice with a piece of cheese.
2. In a nonstick skillet (the 9-inch size should do), fry the egg at the same time as you heat the bacon. Put the bacon on one of the cheese-topped slices and top with the fried egg.
3. Spread the peanut butter, if using, over the cheese on the other slice of bread and top with jelly and scallion. Put the slices together. Serve the sandwich sliced in half on the diagonal, if desired. (Try not to cut into the yolk, if you can.)

OZZFEST, Hang Your Head In Shame: The Backstage Perspective - Aug. 22, 2005
The manager of a well-known heavy metal band (*NOT* IRON MAIDEN) who attended this past weekend's Ozzfest show at the Hyundai Pavillion in Devore, California has submitted the following first-hand account of the evening that will surely go down as one of the most shameful moments in recent rock history (NOTE: at his request, the author's identity is being protected by BLABBERMOUTH.NET):
"Saturday night's Ozzfest at the Hyundai Pavillion near Los Angeles was a debacle on so many levels, I am still in shock as I write this. As a fan of many of the bands [Saturday] night, one can only hope this was an isolated incident, but sadly, it most likely wasn't. As many of you have heard already, co-headliners and metal legends IRON MAIDEN were pelted with eggs, bottle caps, beer cups, spit on, had people from the Ozzfest camp talking over the PA during their set, had 'Eddie' delayed from his onstage entrance, had members of the [BLACK LABEL SOCIETY] entourage rush the stage with American flags, and had the PA intentionally turned off over six times, all by the OSBOURNE CAMP.
"While it's still unclear as to the exact reasons why the terrorizing started (rumors abounded as to why, with everything from Bruce calling out Ozzy in the U.K. rock magazine Kerrang! on the widely known fact that Ozzy uses a teleprompter, to various vague references said on stage about a 'reality show' at an Ozzfest stop in Detroit), one thing was very clear: The whole thing stunk, and left me, and nearly all of the 40,000+ heavy metal fans in attendance angered and disappointed. Not that behind the scenes bickering or magazine trash-talking is anything new to rock fans, but the shocking lack of professionalism at one of the largest stops in North America in front of 40,000+ spectators, at the hand of the Osbournes was nothing short of disgusting.
"It all began early in the afternoon, when many side stage bands were openly approached in clear view of everyone backstage by Sharon and Kelly Osbourne to 'join them in throwing eggs at IRON MAIDEN this evening.' All the bands were encouraged to rally the other side-stage bands to do so. Members and/or friends of the hardcore band BURY YOUR DEAD were seen actively trying to encourage other side-stage bands to 'join in the fun.' Thankfully, many side stage bands angrily declined.
"Later that evening, as IRON MAIDEN came on stage, their intro was interrupted by [BLACK LABEL SOCIETY] hanger-on and biker wannabe Big Dave, who was at the soundboard loudly chanting 'Ozzy, Ozzy' over the PA. MAIDEN opened their set and the entire band was pelted from the front row with eggs, beer, beer cups, spit, and various other objects by an Ozzfest-credentialed, bandana-wearing, Osbourne entourage. IRON MAIDEN, ever the professionals, continued through their set, and by the time they launched into their second song, 'The Trooper', Bruce changed into a civil war-era, red coat and began waving a Union Jack — British flag. Then, someone in, or associated with, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY tried to rush the stage waving and American Flag with the words 'Don't fuck with Ozzy' scrawled across his bare chest. He was tackled and beaten by MAIDEN crew and promptly thrown off stage.
"As 'The Trooper' ended, frontman Bruce Dickinson, with characteristic spunk, launched into a scathing attack on the people terrorizing his band, calling them 'a sorry excuse for an Ozzy Osbourne fan,' and wondering aloud how, 'three dozen eggs could get snuck into the front row of Ozzfest by people with Ozzfest laminates?' Though he never named names, all in attendance could understand who he was referring to. Nicko McBrain ran up to the front asking Bruce to hold on while he cleaned egg off his drums. He then stated the the next song wouldn't be heard on 'Your local cocksucking corporate radio station, wouldn't be seen on MTV anymore, and sure as hell wouldn't be played on a fucking reality TV show,' met by a huge roar from the crowd.
"During the song 'Hallowed Be Thy Name', Bruce, after only the first two lines, stopped singing and ran to the front row, firing back at his terrorizers, saying 'That asswipe right there, with the curly hair, the fucking glasses, and Ozzfest laminate throw his fucking ass out of here right now. It's gonna take more than eggs to stop IRON MAIDEN, and if it wasn't for a lawsuit, I'd rip your fucking head off right now, you piece of shit!!!!' He had the various attackers ejected and continued with a blistering version of the song until right before the big sing long at the end, the PA was INTENTIONALLY cut off. When it came back, Bruce launched into another scathing attack saying that they were supposed to play a shorter set than normal today, and only play 55 minutes, but IRON MAIDEN can't drive 55, or play 55, and were going to play our whole fucking set tonight.
"The band endured six more 'PA cuts,' including having the power to their amps turned off at one point. When the PA would come back on, they would simply launch into the next IRON MAIDEN classic, never missing a beat. Frankly, with every PA cut, the band just got meaner and meaner, playing each new song with an anger and a fire that was at times, simply astonishing to watch. Bruce began the introduction to IRON MAIDEN with a speech about 'Your constitution has something about 'We The People.' Well let me tell you, the only reason we are up here tolerating this bullshit, is because of you people. You have been amazing Glen Helen, and there are A LOT of IRON MAIDEN fans here tonight,' eliciting a huge roar from the crowd. He continued, 'It's gonna take more than eggs to stop IRON MAIDEN, NOTHING is going to come between us and our fans, and it will be death before dishonor, this is 'Iron fucking Maiden',' which was greeted by a thunderous applause. During 'Iron Maiden', longtime MAIDEN mascot Eddie was purposely delayed from making his entrance, making a brief appearance at the end, and one could only wonder as to how. As the band closed there set with a furious version of 'Sanctuary', the PA was again cut only to have Big Dave repeatedly chant 'Ozzy' over the PA, while the band tried to say goodbye to their fans. The now-furious crowd angrily drowned him out with chants of 'MAIDEN, MAIDEN.'
"Then, not 10 seconds after MAIDEN left the stage, Sharon Osbourne walked on stage and predictably, tried to give MAIDEN some fake, half-hearted praise about how they'd like to 'thank IRON MAIDEN,' and what a wonderful band IRON MAIDEN are, and how their crew were 'fantastic,' then sneering, 'But Bruce Dickinson is a prick.' The entire crowd, now fed up with the entire affair, began loudly booing her, pelting her with beer cups, and yelling 'bitch.' She tried to carry on, adding that 'Bruce had disrespected Ozzfest,' only to be drowned out by an ocean of boos, and soaked with beer. She slammed the microphone down and stormed off stage. Many in the crowd, fed up with what they had just witnessed, especially considering that many had come solely for MAIDEN, and paid upwards of $150 to do so, left in droves. SABBATH played to maybe half the audience that was there prior, and seemed stagnate compared to the band preceding them. As a huge fan of SABBATH, I honestly couldn't stand to watch them.
"I've seen IRON MAIDEN probably 10 times in my life, and frankly this was the very best IRON MAIDEN show I've had the pleasure of witnessing. You DON'T want to fuck with IRON MAIDEN. The more the Osbournes tried to fuck with them, the better they got! IRON MAIDEN was on fucking overdrive! Considering the amount of terrorizing and intimidation that IRON MAIDEN had to deal with at the hands of the Osbournes and the other side stage and main stage bands participating, they were the consummate professionals. They had the crowd in the palms of their hands, and IRON MAIDEN and Bruce Dickinson proved beyond a shadow of a doubt why they are the greatest metal band on earth right now, and quite possibly, the classiest, too.
"The Osbournes are drunk with power. Shame on them, and shame on ANY of the bands that participated in the terrorizing and intimidation. It was disgusting display, that NO BAND should have had to endure, but especially a legend like IRON MAIDEN. That fact that it happened in front of 40,000+ people, at a Clear Channel-sponsored event, while Hyundai Pavilion Security turned a blind eye and let the Osbourne camp pelt one of the main headlining bands with eggs, beer, and spit, was simply inexcusable.
"I will proudly be attending next year's MAIDEN fest, and as much as I hate to say it, I can't bring myself to spend another dime on the Osbournes.
"Ozzfest, hang your head in shame." “
Like stated in the beginning, just utterly fucking stupid. The Osbourne Camp, plain idiots, them.
Sharon Osbourne’s comment afterwards "It also offended me every night how he took out the English flag in America. There are American boys going to war alongside the English boys every day. How dare he forget the American troops on their home turf?" is probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
Here are a couple of photographs of Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris and Janick Gers pelted with eggs:

I missed my chance to become a teen suicide
Not them all were bad though, Motörhead were rocking like motherfuckers, Iron Maiden did brilliant stuff back then. There was Venom, of course, and AC/DC with classic shit like “Let The Be Rock” and "Hell's Bells."
Yeah, the eighties were okay I guess, done with style it was, with spikes and bulletbelts. With metal.
Edit:
I watched 5 more videocassettes (a few more to go) filled up with these Monsters Of Rock/Sky-Trax shows, some observations:
-That shit music is more entertaining to watch while leafing through a book, or doing anything else for that matter.
-That shit music is more entertaining with a beer in hand.
-Those Mega-Monster-Mix or triple Thrash videos or whatever they called are fucken amazing. And now Exodus-Slayer-Venom!
-Dio did fucking cheesy promo videos back in the day, only Judas Priest made them worse.
-I kinda re-found Rainbow.
-Hear’n Aid “Stars” was goddamn brilliant and stupid as shit at the same time. We are stars! Matt Thor, Mick Brown, Brad Gillis, Donald “Back Dharma” Roeser, and many more!
-Apparently, people actually found Krokus interesting.
-Most of the guests on the show seemed to be either drunk or high, probably both is the truth.
-“Madhouse” is still the best song Anthrax had ever written, that's for fucken sure.
-Lee Aaron - hot damn.
-Classic comment from King Diamond (when asked what he thinks about bands like Exodus and Slayer): "They are very good personal friends of mine. I don't know how much they believe in the real thing. But I know they've read the book."

doom over the world
An informative book, frightening some could say, it warns you about breathing the wrong air, of having sex, of travelling and eating. So there you go, quit doing them, you’ll be just fine. Time’s-a-wasting, die with fucking dignity, right?
Seriously, it had some good points, some really interesting stuff, which I may return to later on (or then I don’t), but for now merely a few words of the explorer Christopher Columbus of whom this book touched briefly because of the fucked-up state of Haiti today:
When Christopher Columbus first landed on Hispaniola (off Haiti) in 1492, almost the entire island was covered by lush forest. Now the island looks like somebody took a giant blowtorch and a pocketful of napalm, and burned the damn thing to the ground. I don’t go much further why the island today looks the way it does, it’s a long story (it’s thoroughly explained in The Last Hours Of Ancient Sunlight), it’s the same old story of mass population, erosion and creating farmland to herd cattle so McDonalds can make them inexpensive supersized burgers. I found more interesting the story of Columbus and what took place in Hispaniola, which was originally inhabited by Taino Indians. One of Columbus’s crew, Miguel Cuneo, made notes of their journeys, so it ain’t just speculation what was destined to those friendly Indians living an idyllic life in paradise. And the Indians weren’t cannibals, as generally assumed. To put it short, after Columbus’s crew had raped The Taino people (teenage girls, mostly), they enslaved a few (in Cuneo’s words: “One thousand six hundred male and female persons of those Indians”) and slaughtered the rest.
Miguel Cuneo himself took a teenage girl as his personal slave (if I recall, she was a personal gift from Columbus), but when he attempted to have sex with her, she, again in his own words, “resisted with all her strength.” So, he “thrashed her mercilessly and raped her.” Columbus himself was a major player in the sex-slave business; this is what he wrote in 1500: “A hundred castellanoes [a Spanish coin] are as easily obtained for a woman as for a farm, and it is very general and there are plenty of dealers who go about looking for girls; those of nine to ten [years old] are now in demand.”
Sure enough, the Taino people resented their lands and children being taken, and attempted to fight back against the invaders. Columbus didn’t like that one bit, so he sought to impose discipline on them. In a twinkling of an eye, Columbus attacked them with dogs, cut off noses and ears, skewered Indians on poles from anus to mouth, and shot them. No wonder why Indians began seeing suicide as a better option. It was reported that a hundred Indians committed mass suicide. Also, they killed their children with their own hands, so as not to leave them in such oppressive slavery.
By 1555, every single one of Taino Indians was dead.
Nothing out of ordinary of course, not much different were the atrocities colonists practised against Native Americans, or doings of Ceaser, Pizarro, Hitler, Pol Pot, Tutsis and Hutus, or the modern genocides, but I wish I once saw a Christopher Columbus –movie where he isn’t portrayed as a charming little fucker.
