Love the land and fellow man

I don't think I've seen Tom Hanks in a western movie before. In News of the World he's Captain Kidd, a town-to-town newsreader and a Civil War veteran. On one of his journeys, he comes across a German girl Johanna (Helena Zengel) who was captured by indians and raised by their tribe for few years. Captain Kidd tries to find the most appropriate solution for her life. Nothing too memorable, a rather predictable story, but worth a watch.
