This franchise is one of those that emerged in the wake of the Scream films. A clever teen horror thing where the murderer is kept in hidden until the very end. Actually here, only the beginning and the end are strong, everything in between is poorly paced nostalgia. Interestingly enough and in apparent self-parody, one of the characters even says 'nostalgia is overrated', so kudos to that.
