The Housemaid is an erotic thriller directed by Paul Feig, based on the book by Freida McFadden. The story and its own little twists unfold slowly and in a pleasantly brutal way. Maybe it's a little too over the top to be truly scary, but the suspense still tingles around every corner. Psychological and atmospheric thrills in the same vein as in the acclaimed Gone Girl (2014), Fatal Attraction (1987), The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992) and What Lies Beneath (1992).
