Like ripped from the pages of a Raymond Chandler novel. Edward Norton is Lionel Essrog - a detective who has a condition that make him say funny things - investigating the death of his boss and friend Frank Minna (Bruce Willis). Motherless Brooklyn is entertaining crime noir, the main character's Tourette's Syndrome makes it surprisingly funny and something different, and all the actors on the lead - Edward Norton, Alec Baldwin, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Willem Dafoe - are passionately involved.
