A river is not ashamed of running
This one is ridden with quite the same disease as the majority of Finnish comedies; what the characters are saying doesn't sound natural, no one speaks like that. Bad writing, or maybe it's just bad acting, I don't know, bad directing most likely. Whatever the case, it ruins the already perfectly below-average movie.

Those things are death
Compared to its predecessor, this is a poorly acted fucker that has quite nothing of its own. But it wasn't wholly bad, in spite of all the hilarious fuck-ups, goofs and what-not, it's still rather entertaining.
My second only friend
I was quite out of the storyline all the time, partly because I hadn't played the first Darkness. What I gathered, my character was this mafia boss freak with two extra tentacles who is in a vendetta kind of mood. I quite enjoyed.

Dirty soap
A bit different, more experimental and weird, and it got weirder by the minute. Not much money was wasted on the production, but it's an effectively brutal, violent film with a plethora of genuine what-the-fuck moments.
The hungry rabbit jumps
Cops and bad guys are chasing poor old Nicolas Cage in hot pursuit and it seems there's nowhere to hide and no one to trust, but luckily Nic has some devious plans of his own and the city of New Orleans ain't big enough for them all!
Walk on through the rain
A close-up of a Finnish footballer Jari Litmanen that goes through his career with the highlights and setbacks in obligatory fashion. All in all, a rather typical biopic of a sportsman, revealing only little of the person beyond the field.

Hippies lost their car
French thriller that is done so serious-mindedly that it's downright laughable and laborious. The action is alright, but making the impossible possible a little silly.

Hate people equally
I thought of getting a story of a bent LAPD cop (Woody Harrelson) going on a killing spree. And I waited for something to happen. And waited for some more. Eventually I hoped at least something would happen. And a whole lot of nothing happened, not even an exploding ending.

Bastard's days are numbered
After Far Cry 3 this quite well could be the coolest game there is. You run into places and you shoot people dead. Basically, is all.
To survive one must have a plan
A Hitchcock masterpiece that has comfortably room for black humour, conspiracies, doubts, romance and murder.
He who looks within, awakens
They rarely, hardly ever dazzle, but they - the Swedes - are good at music and porn and meatballs and crime fiction.

Twisted cheese-eating gnome
Two Brits and three Germans a.k.a. nazis lost in the Norwegian woods in WWII. Things are bound to get interesting!

Trolls and leprechauns alongside the road
Late eighties actor-driven drama of ex-Vietnam war vets coping with their past. Somewhat of a slow-moving side, a simple story, the few war scenes were shot the cheapest way possible at the nearest sandpit, but at least them actors do alright.

Don't kill innocent people
A high-octane conspiracy fucker set in Johannesburg, South Africa. Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds dodge bullets like there was no tomorrow.

It takes time to figure things out
Pure artistry. The Paul Thomas Anderson quirkiness is there, but it's cleverly hidden in the somewhat innocent and simple story. One of the most beautiful and original pieces of the year, no doubt.
Just a little less shit
It's no longer as ground-breaking and intelligent comedy as Sacha Baron Cohen delivered at best of times. But I have no trouble admitting that I laughed out loud like never before at some of the bits. The bits most would people would refer to as vulgar and cheap insults.

Funerals make people hungry for some reason
I have always read and enjoyed pulp fiction with hard-ass wacky characters, off-the-wall action and pitch-dark humour. By authors like James Crumley, James Lee Burke, George V. Higgins, Jim Thompson and, to some extent, Dennis Lehane. And now someone has finally nailed it on film. Thank you William Friedkin.
Ordering a takeout
Shot and choreographed with a fresh approach, coolest of fighting sequences, hand-to-hand combat that takes no prisoners. Quite likely the best straight up action movie of the year.
To be a rock and not to roll
I almost stopped watching after the first few tunes, the band seemed strained and the show lame. Deliberated, bet ya, because the concert rocketed sky high soon afterwards.

Crocodile runs like a horse
An old-school slasher movie by Tobe Hooper. To be perfectly honest, it was a bit too outdated sicko shit, even for me.
One guy in a unitard
I kinda liked this even if it was big, mainstream kind of big. Of course it was child friendly and all, nothing too devious or murky, but just funny and entertaining enough. And Andrew Garfield did ok.

All this and more
A stand-up comedian struggles to co-parent his autistic son. A simple story, seen many times before, but solid and entertaining little flick...
