This is probably the first novel I've ever read. So for that's sake and because of the need of something relatively light for holidays, it hit the right spot.

Yet another take on the Norwegian Black Metal merrymaking of church burnings and murders. And yet another indefinitive and disorderly take. Although, I must admit I like them chaps Gylve Nagell (Darkthrone) and Varg Vikernes (Burzum) talking shit, it's fun stuff, sometimes.

Funnily enough, I hadn't seen this before even though the DVD has been sitting on my shelf for years. At the very least, it was worth the fucking wait.

Las Palmas by Johannes Nyholm

The opener of Funny Films of the North, a DVD collection of Nordic short films, and it’s hysterically funny. One of the funniest cuts I have seen for a very long time.

It appears we may have a problem of some magnitude

Thundering Stephen King horror is always terrific and sometimes they even make a movie of his stories that is spectacularly dead-on.

If they win, they can't live either

Loved the original, it appeared out of nowhere, struck me senseless. The shot-by-shot remake, even though the mere idea seemed utterly pointless, somehow I get it, comes with familiar faces is all.

A pretty day for makin' things right

One of the few prevailing contemporary westers, lots of good things on whole lots of stuff.

This was fun, very much good fun. Reading it was pure joy, I oftentimes chuckled.

Roger Corman directs Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson. A curious take by its own right, but as an old-school horror film, quite an impressive piece of work with trad. horror stuff like flickering candles, ghosts, crypts, fog and darkness, even witches - yes, them heretics, baby.

A tad bit fuckered in the head

When I saw this for the first time I was a little disappointed, the film seemed somewhat anemic. This time round, it’s still slow in action, but I caught up with things that passed me by the first time and I was truly and thoroughly entertained.

Do you like 'em anchovies?

This was like a replica to Tony Scott's Unstoppable (2010), or vice versa. At close margin, I think I prefer this one, don't know why though, more soul'n'spirit perhaps.

Money, it's pure evil

To my recollection, this was a thriller tinted with pitchblack humour. Well, entertaining, sure, watchable, indeed, but kind of a shallow a story, hadn't aged that well.

Smoking guns in mushroom clouds

I usually am a fan of political thrillers, but this one of war on Iraq on false pretense is lacking in sense of drama and even though the context (based on a true story) is interesting the outcome is downright boring.

Streets are paved with carcasses of imbeciles

Yea, maybe two or three times I had a passing thought it was alright to keep on watching this movie.
