There are things that have to be forgotten if you want to go on living

Don’t know whether I liked this or not. Read the Jim Thompson book some 20 years ago, the movie doesn’t beat that for sure and otherwise too, it was a bit of a boring fucker to be honest. It was shockingly brutal couple of times and, sadly, strangely perhaps, those two times were the highlights. Never liked the lead actor Casey Affleck much, he mumbles, almost whispers, or whines, a lot - should get a voice coach or something.

And now I am God

Watched this today, a pretty good movie to start a day with, wasn’t earth-shattering an experience, but liked the concept of the film. Based on Craig Harrison’s novel and unravels the idea of being the sole living being on earth. I once toyed with the same idea myself, wrote the beginnings of a movie script of sort, it didn't came out anything of course.

2011

It's 1st of January, 2011. Far out.

Didn't celebrate the new year. But still, I had a few glasses of whiskey, red wine and beer - and I played poker and won a few pennies in the end. If I think about it, it was a dull motherfucker, the whole night, I probably was too drunk to remember anything, but I had written down on a notepad that Reverend Bizarre's "For You Who Walk In The Land Of Shadows" and Robert Plant & The Great Sensation's "The Enchanter" are tunes of some serious caliber.

All this and more
